1What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website can store on your device. They are widely used to make sites work, to remember your choices, and to understand how a site is being used. Some are essential, others are optional.
2How this website uses cookies
I keep cookies to a minimum. This site uses two kinds:
- Essential cookies. These are needed for the site to work and to remember your cookie choice, so you are not asked every time. They do not track you and are always on.
- Analytics cookies. These use Google Analytics to give me a basic picture of how the site is used, such as which pages are popular, which helps me improve it. These only run if you accept them.
3The cookies used
- Essential. A small cookie that remembers whether you accepted or declined analytics, so the banner does not keep reappearing.
- Analytics, only if you accept. Google Analytics cookies, which collect information about how visitors use the site. You can read about these in Google's own documentation.
4Your choice, and how to change it
When you first visit, you can accept or decline analytics cookies through the banner. Nothing optional runs until you accept. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's cookies in your browser, which brings the banner back, or by adjusting your browser settings.
5Managing cookies in your browser
Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies through its settings. Bear in mind that blocking all cookies may stop some websites working as intended. Your browser's help pages explain how to do this.
6Changes to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
