Do I actually own the website?
It works more like leasing than buying, which keeps the cost low with nothing big up front. The monthly covers hosting, security, updates and keeping the site live. Even a site you owned outright would still cost you that every year, and would date without it. Your domain stays in your own name throughout.
Is there a contract? Can I cancel?
No contract. On the monthly plan you can stop whenever you like, with nothing more to pay, though a quick heads-up is always appreciated. The yearly plan is paid up front and runs the full twelve months.
What's the £300 one-off for?
It's the photo session before launch, a one-off at the start. Real images of your business mean the site looks like you, not stock photos. If you already have professional images of your own, those work too.
Can you build an online shop or something more custom?
The plans cover most simple local business sites. Online shops and bigger or more complex sites are a custom build, priced per project. If your business needs more than the plans cover, we'll spot it early and sort the right option on the call.
I already have a website or a domain. Can you use those?
Yes. I can build your new site on your existing domain, or set up a new one if you need it. The technical side is handled for you, with no downtime.
How long until my site is live?
Usually a couple of weeks from our first chat, once I've got what I need and the photos are done. I'll give you a clear timeframe at the start.
Do I need to write anything or provide photos?
No. The words are written for you, and the photos come from the session at launch, or your own if you have them. There'll be a few quick questions early on, and you can tweak the final wording so it sounds like you.
Will people searching in Cambridge find my site?
Your site is built and set up for local search, with the on-page work and your Google Business Profile handled for you, so you have a real chance of showing up when nearby customers look for what you do. No one can promise a fixed position on Google, and anyone who does is guessing.
Can you use real photos of my business?
Yes, and it is part of the point. I am a photographer too, so your launch includes a session to capture your place, your work or your team, and the site is built around those images rather than stock photos.
